Born in Iga City, the home of the ninja. 🥷
Active across a wide range of musical fields, including pop, contemporary jazz, ambient music, and music for visual media. Centered on the creation of original works, she takes part in genre-crossing projects as a singer accompanist, live performer, and composer for visual works.
She graduated from the Advanced Course of the Yamaha Music School. She studied jazz piano under Haruya Kihata and Akihiro Horikoshi, and has also learned from Matthew Fries and Kevin Hays. After an unconventional career as an international airline ground staff member, she began pursuing music professionally following a short stay in the United States.
Her crowdfunding campaigns for original works have achieved multiple stretch goals. Alongside receiving support from listeners in Japan and abroad, she has participated in a variety of projects, including collaborations with contemporary musicians.
Her solo piano performance, “Flying Humanoid,” recorded at Yokohama Airegin, has been aired multiple times on “KAWAII,” a program on the French radio station JazzBox Radio International.
In 2019, she won third place worldwide in the Instrumental category of the International Songwriting Competition, becoming the only Japanese artist to place in the Top 3 that year. She has since received further awards in international competitions including the Global Music Awards, Global International Music Competition, and Unsigned Only Music Competition.
In 2025, she composed the score for the short film A Love Story in The Summer, directed by and starring Dan Mitchell. The film was an Official Selection at the 2025 Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival, received the Best Asia Award at an Italian film festival, and was officially selected for the 2026 Tokyo International Short Film Festival (TISFF).
Having grown up in the home of the ninja, there is a theory that her ancestors may have been ninja. The truth remains unknown.
